When I say keep it weird, I mean-find that inner weirdness of yours and show it off! (It's not intended to be a Portland reference. Though, I do like that city quite a bit.) Whether you think of yourself as weird/ingenious/crafty/dexterous/scrappy/whatever-make it the best version of you possible.
It's like, when I was a kid I grew up with a family ostrich farm in my grandparent's barnyard. In the middle of rural Ohio. For most of my childhood I would take shiny objects to the side of the ostrich pen and make it glitter in the sun so these giant birds would try nabbing it with their beaks. One time I was wearing a shiny beaded necklace and one of these beauties came very close to my face. Not the most comforting scene for 6 year old me. It's these memories that come to mind now and again as I've grown up and it makes me think "what an oddity that is part of my life." I kind of love those few experiences or moments that no one else can really understand. That bring surprise to those listening to your stories.
What are some memories you have that make you feel similar? Or what kind of unique stories have you heard lately?
Hope you all enjoy the weekend! Remember-keep it weird!
