Do you have a lot of interests or hobbies? Do you find it hard to narrow all of those interests down to one thing? Do you ever feel pressure to have a main goal? Do you get bored when there isn't enough change or differentiation in your normal activities? You may be a multipotentialite. Or a renaissance person. Or the polymath. All of these phrases have the same meaning. You are someone who is adaptable and versatile and these are traits that are not only admired but necessary. They need to be cultivated and celebrated.
The TEDxBend Talk below is what inspired me for today's blog post. Emilie Wapnick goes more in depth about what it means to be a multipotentialite. If you have 12+ minutes I recommend giving it a watch. It's inspiring for someone like me who can never seem to decide on one specific thing to be when I grow up. And I'm 28.
