I planted this tree when I was 8 years old. I remember the day received the little sapling, I think it was for Arbor Day from my Sunday School teacher. 20 years later it is still growing tall and strong!
I light of the holiday season, while traditions in my family have changed quite a bit over the past few years, I am thankful for these waves of change. The fact that we can grow and adjust while still getting along (for the most part) is pretty cool to watch. It’s inspiring to keep allowing this change to happen and go with it instead of fight against it.
This Thanksgiving I am thankful for growing up. What are you thankful for?
